What We Collect, and What We Don’t.
Food Explorers runs cooking programs for children. We keep the information we hold to the minimum a program needs to run safely, and we do not sell it.

Who we are
Food Explorers is a Bay Area business operating after-school cooking clubs and summer camps. If you have a question about anything on this page, write to us through the contact form.
Information you give us on this site
There are two places on this site where you can type something about yourself:
- The contact form. Depending on who you tell us you are, this asks for your name, your email address, and some combination of your phone number, your organization, your city and your child’s age. You choose what to put in the optional fields.
- The program-updates signup. This asks for your email address, and optionally your child’s age range and your nearest city, so we only write to you about programs that could actually suit you.
We use what you send to reply to you and to send the program updates you asked for. Nothing more. Every update email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Children
These forms are for adults. We do not ask children to fill them in, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child. Where a form asks about a child, it asks only for an age or an age range — never a name, a school year, a photograph or a contact detail — and it asks the parent, not the child.
Information about an enrolled child, such as an allergy or an emergency contact, reaches us separately. In most of our programs the school or the community center registers families and sends us a roster; in those cases their privacy policy governs how they collected it, and we hold only what we need to run the session safely. If you would like us to delete what we hold about your child, ask and we will.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no advertising pixels, and does not build a profile of you across other sites. Page fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google and Google therefore sees the request.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We share it only where running the program requires it — for example, giving a partner school or community center the roster for a session they are hosting — or where the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact form and we will respond. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; we extend the same handling to everyone who writes to us, wherever they live.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle information, we will change this page and update the date at the top of it.
